State Bank of India has signed a EUR 150 million Line of Credit with KfW, a German development bank, under Phase 2 of the agreement. The funds will be used to finance climate-friendly energy generation projects in India. This is part of SBI's ongoing efforts to expand its green finance portfolio. The facility will support lending to renewable energy and clean energy initiatives across the country.
Positive for SBI as it strengthens the bank's green lending capacity and brings in low-cost foreign funding for sustainable energy projects, supporting growth in its renewable energy loan book.
