Suryoday Small Finance Bank reported FY26 profit after tax of Rs 152 crores, up from Rs 115 crores in FY25, with net total income growing 10.2% to Rs 1,458 crores. The bank saw significant improvement in asset quality with slippages declining to approximately Rs 74 crores in Q4 from Rs 116 crores in Q3, while collection efficiency for inclusive finance reached 99.7%. Deposits grew 32.3% year-on-year to Rs 13,994 crores with CASA ratio at 22.6%. Capital adequacy remains robust at 20.5%. The strategic shift from JLG to individual Vikas loans is gaining traction with 75% of inclusive finance portfolio now in individual loans, and 99% covered under CGFMU scheme providing approximately Rs 650 crores in P&L protection. Retail assets including commercial vehicles and mortgages grew 36-38% year-on-year. Digital deposits now contribute 50% of incremental deposits with average ticket size of Rs 1.25 lakh.
The bank is positioning for strong FY27 with management guiding for PAT doubling to approximately Rs 300 crores, ROA improving from 1.1% in Q4 FY26 to 1.2-1.6% through the year, and CGFMU claims of Rs 450-550 crores expected to reduce headline GNPA. Margin expansion is expected as the paying book increases. However, capital raise discussions remain sensitive given price-to-book below 1x.
