Thomas Cook (India) Limited has made an additional investment of INR 2.5 crore in its joint venture Indian Horizon Marketing Services Limited (IHMSL) by subscribing to 25 lakh Class A Equity Shares at face value of Rs. 10 each. IHMSL is a JV between Thomas Cook and Atirath Technologies, focused on co-developing a Travel AI Platform. Post-allotment, Thomas Cook will continue to hold 100% of the Class A Equity Shares in the JV. The allotment is expected to be completed by April 8, 2026. The transaction qualifies as a related party transaction but has been carried out at arm's length. IHMSL had no turnover in the last financial year, indicating this is a strategic early-stage investment.
This is a relatively small capital infusion (INR 2.5 crore) into an existing JV aimed at building a Travel AI Platform. While the absolute amount is minor, the move signals Thomas Cook's strategic interest in AI-driven travel solutions. Shareholders are unlikely to see a material short-term financial impact, but it reflects the company's bet on technology-led growth in the travel sector.
