UCO Bank reported provisional Q1 FY26 (June 2025) business figures showing total business of Rs 5.24 lakh crore, up 13.67% year-on-year and 1.95% sequentially. Total advances grew strongly at 16.58% YoY to Rs 2.25 lakh crore, outpacing deposit growth of 11.57% YoY to Rs 2.99 lakh crore. Domestic advances rose 19.76% YoY, signalling healthy loan demand. The Credit-Deposit (CD) ratio climbed to 75.48% from 74.94% in March 2025, reflecting more aggressive lending. However, the CASA ratio slipped to 36.90% from 37.91%, which points to some moderation in low-cost deposits. Figures are provisional and subject to statutory audit review.
The strong double-digit YoY growth in advances is positive for earnings outlook, but the declining CASA ratio may pressure margins. Investors should watch for the audited results to confirm the trend before drawing firm conclusions.
