UCO Bank reported strong FY2025-26 results with net profit up 13.21% to ₹2,768 crore. Global business crossed ₹5.9 lakh crore with advances growing 19.44% YoY to ₹2.63 lakh crore (vs guidance of 12-14%). Deposits stood at ₹3.28 lakh crore, up 11.59%. Asset quality improved significantly with Gross NPA at 2.17% (below guidance of <2.5%) and Net NPA at 0.28% (below guidance of <0.35%). Provision Coverage Ratio strengthened to 97.32%. NIM Global came in at 3.03%, slightly above the 2.8-2.9% guidance. The bank exceeded most guidance parameters for FY26 and issued fresh guidance for FY27 including credit growth of 12-14% and GNPA target of <2%. Capital raising plan of up to ₹2,700 crore equity and ₹5,000 crore bonds is planned for FY27.
The bank delivered a healthy set of results with strong loan growth and improving asset quality. The capital raise plan indicates management is proactively building a buffer for future growth. Exceeding credit growth guidance while maintaining asset quality is a positive signal for investors. However, the lower net interest income quarter-on-quarter (-1.21% Q-o-Q) may raise some questions on near-term margin sustainability.
