UCO Bank's Asset Liability Management Committee (ALCO) has reviewed and revised select benchmark rates, effective 10 May 2026. The key change is a 5 basis point reduction in the 3-month TBLR (Term Benchmark Lending Rate) from 5.35% to 5.30%. MCLR rates across all tenors remain unchanged at 7.90%–8.75%, and other benchmark rates including Base Rate (9.60%), BPLR (14.25%), and Repo Linked Rates also stay flat. The 1-year UCO G-Sec Rate edged up slightly from 5.72% to 5.74%, while the 10-year G-Sec YTM decreased marginally from 7.24% to 7.21%. Most benchmark rates are held steady, making this a relatively minor rate adjustment focused on the short-term 3-month TBLR segment.
For UCO Bank shareholders, this is a neutral-to-marginally-positive development. The TBLR cut may support loan demand in the short-term segment, while the unchanged MCLR and Base Rate protect net interest margins.
