Ujjivan SFB reported strong deposit growth, with total deposits up 18.8% year-on-year to ₹38,612 crore. Gross loan book grew 10.7% YoY to ₹33,287 crore, driven by major jumps in Affordable Housing (+53.1%), MSME (+59.3%), and FIG (+55.4%) segments. However, the Micro Group Loan book contracted 17.8% YoY to ₹12,961 crore, reflecting a deliberate shift toward secured lending, with the secured book share rising to 45.5% from 31.3% a year ago. Overall disbursements rose 23.8% YoY to ₹6,543 crore, though they dipped 12.1% sequentially. On the asset quality front, GNPA inched up to 2.5% from 2.2% in Q4 FY25, and PAR rose to 4.8%, while the bank wrote off ₹152 crore during the quarter.
A positive read on growth and balance sheet quality, with the bank clearly pivoting toward higher-yield, lower-risk secured segments. However, rising NPAs and slipping CASA ratio (24.3% vs 25.6% YoY) are watchpoints; stock reaction will depend on whether margin and asset quality trends stabilize in coming quarters.
