Union Bank of India submitted revised provisional business figures for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. Total global business grew 5.01% YoY to ₹22,14,480 crores, though it dipped 1.80% sequentially from March 2025. The standout was Domestic Retail Advances, which jumped 25.60% YoY to ₹2,28,980 crores and also rose 5.63% QoQ. Domestic RAM (Retail, Agriculture, MSME) advances grew 10.31% YoY to ₹5,44,986 crores. Global deposits grew 3.63% YoY to ₹12,39,936 crores but fell 2.54% QoQ, while Domestic CASA deposits rose only 0.92% YoY and dropped 5.43% QoQ. The numbers are provisional and pending limited review by statutory auditors.
Strong double-digit growth in retail and RAM advances signals healthy credit expansion and diversification, which is positive for shareholders. However, the sequential decline in overall business, deposits, and CASA ratio may raise concerns about deposit mobilisation and cost of funds, likely keeping the stock sideways in the near term.
