Ather achieves profitability milestone, supply ramp-up to pave the road ahead

Ather Energy posted Q2FY27 operating revenue of ₹1,464 crore, up 63% year on year, and recorded its first positive quarterly net profit of ₹1.26 crore; its EBITDA margin was 0.8%, or 5.1% including other income, and shares rose as much as 22% in two days. Registrations increased 60% to 92,600 units against 108% growth in pre-orders, leaving 18,000-20,000 units per month of demand unrealized as production reached 98,400 units. Capacity is targeted to rise from 420,000 units to 920,000 units by FY27-end, although market share slipped to 15.1% from 17.2% and the AURIC ramp-up is expected to add costs.
