Indian stock market data, inside your AI assistant

Ask Claude or ChatGPT what a company just filed, what the stock did about it, and what management said on page 43 of the annual report — and get an answer read live from MarketPing instead of guessed from memory. Paste one URL. No API key, no signup, no broker account.

Why connect this one

Broker connectors let an assistant read your portfolio. This one lets it read the market — every NSE and BSE filing, what the share price did about it, and the page of the annual report that backs it up.

It knows what happened next

Ask what a filing did to the share price and you get a measured answer — 14 horizons from 5 minutes to 3 months, on every announcement. No other MCP server carries that data, in India or anywhere.

It quotes the page, not the gist

Ask what management actually said and the assistant opens the real page out of 2.2 million indexed filing pages and cites it. Confident, unsourced paraphrase is the classic AI failure on filings; this removes the guesswork.

What it refuses to publish

No grey-market premium. No apply-or-avoid. No price targets. Your assistant gets the facts and forms its own view — MarketPing never sells you a call, which in this market is the harder thing to build.

Nothing to sign up for

No API key, no account, no broker login. Trendlyne charges ₹299 a month for its MCP server; the broker ones need a broker. This one is a URL.

What you can ask it

Once connected, you just talk to your assistant normally. It decides when to reach for MarketPing.

AnnouncementsWhat has Tata Motors announced in the last month, and did the stock move on any of it?
FilingsQuote what Infosys' latest annual report says about capital expenditure, with the page number.
GovernanceHas this company's auditor ever flagged anything? Show me the CARO exceptions by year.
ScreeningFind Indian midcaps with ROCE above 20%, debt-to-equity under 0.5 and rising profits.
StacksWhich Nifty 500 companies clear three of MarketPing's four quality-and-growth screens today, and what entered this week?
IPOsWhich IPOs are open right now, and how subscribed are they?
MarketHow did the Indian market close today, and were foreign investors buying?

Connect it in a minute

Claude is the quickest place to try this — custom connectors work on every Claude plan, including the free one.

Claude

  1. Open Claude on the web or desktop and go to Settings → Connectors.
  2. Click “Add custom connector”.
  3. Paste the MarketPing server URL and save.
  4. Start a new chat and ask something like “What did Infosys announce this week, and how did the stock react?”

NoteFree Claude accounts can hold one custom connector at a time, so this uses that slot. Paid plans have no such limit.

Editors and developer tools

The same endpoint works in any MCP client. Config shapes differ more than they look — each tab below shows the exact block for that tool.

Claude Code

One command. Connectors added on claude.ai also appear here automatically.

  1. Run the command below in any terminal.
  2. Check it connected with /mcp inside Claude Code.
Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http marketping https://mcp.marketping.in/mcp

What your assistant can reach

20 read-only tools over the same data that powers marketping.in.

Announcements and market reaction

The dataset MarketPing is built on, and the part no other Indian MCP server carries: every NSE/BSE filing, classified, with the price move it actually caused.

recent_alertsRecent corporate filings with AI category, importance and sentiment — for one company or market-wide.
alert_reactionThe measured move after one filing: returns at 5 min, 30 min, 1–15 days and 1–3 months. Measured, not forecast.

Filings you can quote

Annual reports, earnings-call transcripts and investor decks, indexed to the page — so your assistant quotes a real page instead of paraphrasing from memory.

search_filingsFull-text search across every page MarketPing holds.
list_documentsWhich documents exist for a company, newest first.
doc_contentsA document's table of contents, so the right pages get opened.
read_pagesThe actual page text — the only thing the assistant may quote.
audit_reportAuditor opinions, key audit matters and CARO exceptions per year.

Fundamentals and screening

Company numbers, and the ability to search the whole universe on them.

resolve_companyFind a company by name or ticker.
company_snapshotPrice, market cap, P/E, P/B, TTM revenue and profit, growth, ROCE/ROE, debt.
run_screenerFilter 5,000+ companies on 108 fundamental metrics.
screener_fieldsThe metric catalog, so the assistant builds a valid screen.

Stacks — lists that rebuild every morning

Combine screens, indices, Discover pages and filing rules into one list with one rule (clears k of n). MarketPing's six curated stacks work without an account; link a Trader-plan account to read your own.

list_stacksThe curated stacks with today's member count and what entered or left — plus your own when linked.
run_stackA stack's members as of today's snapshot: which layers each clears, and how many days it has been in.
stack_changesWhat entered, left, climbed or slipped in a stack since a date.

IPOs, flows and calendars

The rest of the market picture — with the same editorial line the website carries.

ipo_pipelineOpen, upcoming, closed and listed IPOs with terms, subscription and performance. No grey-market premium, no apply/avoid.
fpi_flowsForeign investor flows into Indian markets, as NSDL publishes them.
results_calendarWhich companies report results on which dates.
daily_briefingThe latest daily market briefing.

Search and fetch

The two tools OpenAI's connector contract requires, so MarketPing works in ChatGPT's research modes as well as ordinary chat.

searchSearch companies, announcements, IPOs and filing text in one call.
fetchOpen one result in full — with the marketping.in URL to cite.

Optional: link your account

Everything above works with no account at all. If you do link a MarketPing account — your assistant will offer to, and you approve it on a MarketPing consent screen — two more tools appear: your assistant can see your watchlist, and add a company to it when you ask. Linking also gives you a private daily allowance instead of one shared with everyone else using that assistant. You can disconnect at any time from your assistant’s settings, and MarketPing never receives your assistant’s conversations.

What this is, and what it isn’t

Read-only, always

Every tool only reads. There is no trading, no money movement and nothing to change — by design, not by policy.

No account, no API key

Paste one URL. No signup, no key to manage, nothing to leak. Link a MarketPing account later only if you want a bigger allowance.

Facts, not advice

No buy/sell calls, no price targets, no IPO grey-market premium — the same editorial line the website has always carried.

Answers you can check

Document tools return page-anchored text, so your assistant can quote a real page of a real filing and link back to the source.

Questions

What is the MarketPing MCP server?

It is a connection that lets an AI assistant — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and others — query MarketPing's Indian stock market data directly while you chat. Instead of the assistant guessing from whatever it remembers, it looks up live NSE and BSE announcements, fundamentals, filings and IPO data from MarketPing and answers from that. MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI assistants to outside data.

How do I connect MarketPing to Claude or ChatGPT?

Copy https://mcp.marketping.in/mcp and paste it in. In Claude, go to Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector — this works on every Claude plan including Free. In ChatGPT, enable developer mode under Settings then Connectors, create a connector with that URL, and set authentication to No authentication; ChatGPT custom connectors need a paid plan and work on the web rather than the mobile app.

Is it free, and do I need an account or an API key?

It is free and needs neither. There is no API key and no signup — you paste one URL and start asking. A generous daily limit applies per user, and connecting a free MarketPing account raises it. For comparison, Trendlyne's MCP server is a paid subscription at ₹299 a month for 400 tool calls a day.

Is MarketPing the first Indian stock market MCP server?

No, and the more useful answer is that it is a different kind of server. Zerodha's Kite MCP launched in May 2025, and Trendlyne, Tapetide, INDmoney, Upstox, Groww, Dhan, Fyers and HDFC Sky all run one. Almost all of them connect an assistant to your own broker account, so they answer how is my portfolio doing and they need a broker login. MarketPing connects your assistant to the market instead: any of 5,000+ listed companies, their filings, the measured price reaction to each one, and page-cited reads of their annual reports — with no broker account and no fee. On that data it is the only one.

Can it place trades or see my portfolio?

No. The server has no trading capability at all — it cannot place orders or move money — and it does not connect to a broker, so it never sees your holdings. It reads published market data, exchange filings and company documents. If you choose to link your MarketPing account, the assistant can additionally see your MarketPing watchlist and add a company to it when you ask; you approve that on a consent screen and can disconnect at any time.

Will it give me buy or sell recommendations?

MarketPing publishes no buy or sell calls, no price targets and no IPO grey-market premium, and the MCP server carries the same line — it hands over facts, not advice. Your assistant may still form its own opinion from those facts; that opinion is the assistant's, not MarketPing's, and none of it is investment advice.

Which AI assistants and editors does it work with?

It works with any client that speaks remote MCP over Streamable HTTP. That includes Claude on every plan, ChatGPT on paid plans via developer mode, Perplexity, Grok, Mistral Le Chat, and the developer tools Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, Cline, Roo Code, Zed, JetBrains IDEs and LM Studio. There are 20 tools available.

What data can the assistant actually reach?

20 read-only tools: corporate announcements with AI classification and measured price reactions, fundamentals and a 5,000+-company screener across 108 metrics, page-indexed annual reports and earnings-call transcripts, auditor opinions and CARO exceptions, the daily-rebuilt Stacks, the IPO tracker, foreign investor flows, the results calendar and the daily market briefing.

Every claim on this page is checkable, including the unflattering one: MarketPing was not India’s first MCP server — Zerodha’s shipped in May 2025, and Trendlyne, Tapetide, INDmoney and several brokers followed. It is the only one built on measured announcement reactions and page-cited filings, free and without a broker account. Competitor capabilities were verified on their own sites on 31 August 2026. Nothing on this page or returned by this server is investment advice. See all MarketPing features or pricing.
