3M India's board approved unaudited financial results for Q2 FY26 (quarter ended September 30, 2025). Total income rose to Rs 1,278.8 crore from Rs 1,128.9 crore YoY, with revenue from operations growing ~14% YoY. Net profit after tax jumped 43% YoY to Rs 191 crore, and EBITDA grew 33.1% on better operating leverage. All four business segments — Transportation & Electronics, Safety & Industrial, Health Care, and Consumer — posted double-digit YoY sales growth. The board appointed M.D. Ranganath (ex-Infosys CFO, currently on HDFC Bank board) as an Additional Independent Director for 5 years from Feb 2, 2026. It also approved Price Waterhouse & Co as statutory auditors for 5 years from the 39th AGM (2026), replacing BSR & Co LLP whose term ends at that AGM. The board noted 3M USA's agreement to sell its global Precision Grinding & Finishing business to a Europe-based PE firm; this segment contributed under 1% of 3M India's FY25 revenue. Statutory auditors BSR & Co issued an unqualified limited review report.
Strong Q2 print with broad-based segment growth and a sharp 43% PAT jump is a positive for the stock; the new director brings significant financial and governance expertise, while the scheduled auditor rotation is routine and should not raise governance concerns.
