3M India reported broad-based growth in Q1 FY26 with revenue from operations rising 14.3% YoY to Rs. 1,195.97 crore (vs Rs. 1,046.57 crore in Q1 FY25). Profit before tax grew 13.5% to Rs. 239.40 crore and profit after tax rose 13.1% to Rs. 177.69 crore, with basic EPS at Rs. 157.73 (vs Rs. 139.50). All four business segments posted YoY growth, with Healthcare and Consumer each growing ~20%, while Safety & Industrial grew 11.9% and Transportation & Electronics grew 11.2%. EBITDA grew 13% YoY to Rs. 257 crore, but EBITDA margin dipped marginally to ~21.5% (from ~21.7% in Q1 FY25). Statutory auditor B S R & Co. LLP issued an unqualified review report, and prior-year figures were restated to give effect to the amalgamation of wholly-owned subsidiary 3M Electro & Communication India Pvt Ltd, effective April 1, 2023.
Shareholders see healthy double-digit revenue and profit growth with all segments contributing, supported by an unqualified audit opinion — a positive signal. The slight EBITDA margin compression and the restated comparison base are minor watchpoints, but the strong segment-level momentum and the recently recommended special dividend of Rs. 375/share (plus Rs. 160 final) underscore a constructive near-term outlook.
