A-1 Limited reported weak Q2 FY26 results with revenue from operations at ₹6,314.31 lakhs, down about 19% from ₹7,776.24 lakhs in Q2 FY25. Profit after tax fell sharply to just ₹6.96 lakhs versus ₹97.00 lakhs in the year-ago quarter, a drop of over 92%. For the half year ended September 2025, revenue declined to ₹12,783.61 lakhs (from ₹14,754.16 lakhs) and PAT fell to ₹66.74 lakhs (from ₹180.85 lakhs). EPS for Q2 stood at ₹0.06 versus ₹0.84 a year earlier. The statutory auditor (Sorab S. Engineer & Co.) issued an unqualified review report on both standalone and consolidated results. The company also disclosed that a major fire broke out at its registered office on April 12, 2025, causing damage to building, plant and machinery; the company says it is adequately insured and the claim is under process.
Sharply lower revenue and profits, combined with the fire incident at the registered office, point to a tough quarter for shareholders. However, the company remains debt-light, declared an unqualified audit opinion, and is adequately insured, which limits downside risk from the fire. The stock may see negative pressure given the steep earnings decline.
