A-1 Limited (formerly A-1 Acid Limited) reported weak Q2 FY26 results with revenue from operations falling to ₹6,314.31 lakhs, down about 19% from ₹7,776.24 lakhs in Q2 FY25. Half-yearly revenue declined to ₹12,783.61 lakhs from ₹14,754.16 lakhs, a drop of roughly 13%. Profit after tax collapsed to just ₹6.96 lakhs in Q2 (vs ₹97 lakhs a year ago) and ₹66.74 lakhs for H1 (vs ₹180.85 lakhs), reflecting sharp margin compression. A major fire at the registered office on April 12, 2025 damaged part of the building and equipment, though no injuries occurred and the company is fully insured with the claim under process. On the positive side, operating cash flow turned around to ₹666.89 lakhs in H1 FY26 from a negative ₹1,044.99 lakhs a year earlier, driven by a big drop in trade receivables. The statutory auditor (Sorab S. Engineer & Co.) issued an unqualified review opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
Shareholders should view this as a weak quarter — both top line and profits shrank sharply, likely weighing on the stock. However, the swing to positive operating cash flow and the fire being fully insured soften the blow somewhat.
