A B Infrabuild reported Q1 FY26 revenue from operations of ₹6,056.29 lakhs, up sharply from ₹1,415.01 lakhs in Q1 FY25, a year-on-year jump of around 328%. Profit after tax came in at ₹511.89 lakhs versus ₹54.19 lakhs in the same quarter last year, translating to an EPS of ₹0.80 (vs ₹0.12). Total income for the quarter was ₹6,142.97 lakhs with cost of construction at ₹5,820.48 lakhs, and finance costs rose to ₹233.02 lakhs from ₹148.88 lakhs. During the quarter the company raised funds via a rights issue of 1.06 crore equity shares at ₹37.50 per share. The statutory auditor Bhuwania & Agrawal Associates issued an unqualified limited review report with no qualifications or concerns flagged.
Very strong quarter with revenue and profits multiplying several-fold year-on-year, though the jump is partly because the previous year's base quarter was unusually weak. The rights issue strengthens the balance sheet for future infrastructure projects, which is a positive for shareholders.
