Vira AIF Trust - Vira Bharat Opportunities Fund, a Category II Alternative Investment Fund, acquired 2,80,000 equity shares (6.61%) of Aanchal Ispat Ltd through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) allotment. This was a fresh acquisition, as the fund held no shares prior to this transaction. The shares were allotted on 5th June 2026. As part of the QIP, Aanchal Ispat's total share capital expanded significantly from Rs. 2.83 crore (28.33 lakh shares) to Rs. 4.23 crore (42.33 lakh shares), meaning roughly 14 lakh new shares were issued. The acquirer is confirmed to be outside the promoter/promoter group of the company.
A non-promoter institutional fund taking a 6.61% stake via primary issuance brings fresh capital to Aanchal Ispat but also dilutes existing shareholders by roughly 49% in share count. Existing shareholders should evaluate the use of QIP proceeds and the implications of this significant dilution on their holdings.
