On the reaction day the stock moved 1.0 pts less than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 1.1 pts less than its Specialty Chemicals peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Q2 consolidated gross revenue rose 26% to Rs 2,250 crore and net profit nearly doubled to Rs 106 crore from Rs 52 crore. The operating profit margin improved to 12.94% from 11.04%. Half-year profit fell to Rs 149 crore from Rs 189 crore, with margin at 12.22% versus 13.23%. A net Rs 22 crore exceptional gain included Rs 29 crore of tax appeal interest, offset by a Rs 7 crore provision. Half-year operating cash flow was Rs 557 crore.
Strong quarterly revenue and profit support the stock, but one-off gains and weaker half-year profit may limit the lasting price benefit.
