Aavas Financiers has informed the exchanges that following a change of control, its erstwhile promoters and promoter group members have been reclassified as public shareholders effective June 30, 2025. The acquirer, Aquilo House Pte. Ltd., bought 1,23,46,641 shares (15.48%) from Lake District Holdings, 59,78,718 shares (7.50%) from Partners Group ESCL, and 26,23,753 shares (3.29%) from Partners Group Private Equity via share sale agreements. It also acquired 1,78,08,116 shares (22.50%) through the open offer concluded earlier in 2025. Post-transaction, the Acquirer holds 3,87,57,228 equity shares representing 48.96% of the company's share capital, while the former promoters now hold zero shares.
This is a formal regulatory confirmation of a complete change of control at Aavas Financiers. The original private equity-backed promoters have fully exited, and a new acquirer now owns nearly half the company. Shareholders should note the acquirer's 48.96% holding leaves it just below the 50% takeover threshold, which could have implications for future corporate decisions and minority shareholder influence.
