Abans Enterprises reported a massive jump in revenue driven by its commodities/jewellery trading business. Standalone Q2 revenue surged to ₹10,825.55 lakhs from just ₹665.76 lakhs in Q2 FY25, with H1 FY26 revenue at ₹16,484.08 lakhs versus ₹790.34 lakhs in H1 FY25. Standalone Q2 posted a small loss of ₹112.18 lakhs (EPS ₹-0.16), but H1 FY26 turned profitable at ₹55.26 lakhs versus a loss of ₹67.12 lakhs last year. On a consolidated basis (including overseas subsidiaries), H1 FY26 revenue jumped to ₹3,91,923.46 lakhs with PAT of ₹1,127.18 lakhs (EPS ₹1.37) versus ₹992.74 lakhs last year. The limited review report from M/s. Class & Co LLP is clean, with no qualifications. The proposed merger of wholly owned subsidiary Abans Jewels Limited is still pending NCLT approval and has not been given effect in these results.
Strong top-line growth on both standalone and consolidated basis, but margins are razor-thin (typical of commodity trading). The H1 turnaround to profit and clean auditor review are positives, though Q2 standalone slipped into a small loss, suggesting the business is highly volume-dependent. Watch the pending Abans Jewels merger and margin sustainability.
