Abans Financial Services reported its Q1 FY26 results on August 7, 2025. On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations surged to Rs. 1,89,381.05 lakhs, up from Rs. 29,611.32 lakhs in Q1 FY25, driven mainly by a sharp rise in the Principal Investment & Treasury segment. Consolidated profit after tax rose to Rs. 3,269.23 lakhs (EPS Rs. 6.46) versus Rs. 2,421.44 lakhs (EPS Rs. 4.83) a year ago. On a standalone basis, the company posted a loss of Rs. 142.74 lakhs, though narrower than the Rs. 202.34 lakh loss in Q1 FY25. During the quarter, the company allotted 3,500 ESOP shares and invested Rs. 4,218.30 lakhs in a rights issue of its subsidiary Abans Capital. A scheme to merge four broking subsidiaries into Abans Broking Services was approved on August 6, 2025. Auditor C N K & Associates issued an unqualified limited review report.
The strong consolidated revenue and profit growth is positive for shareholders, though the standalone entity remains loss-making. The pending merger of broking subsidiaries could streamline operations, but the heavy investment in Abans Capital signals capital deployment toward the trading/investment business.
