ABB India reported total revenue from continuing operations of ₹3,184.06 Cr for Q4 FY2026, up 5.8% YoY from ₹3,010.07 Cr. However, profit from continuing operations after tax fell 25.2% to ₹341.91 Cr from ₹457.31 Cr in the year-ago quarter, indicating margin pressure. The standout item is a ₹1,658.48 Cr profit from the sale of the Robotics business to ABB Robotics India (a related party — ABB Robotics Schweiz AG, Switzerland), completed on March 1, 2026. Including this discontinued operation, total profit surged to ₹1,783.65 Cr vs ₹474.63 Cr. EPS from continuing operations declined to ₹16.14 from ₹21.58. The auditors (BSR & Co. LLP) issued a clean, unqualified limited review report with no qualifications. Standalone and consolidated figures are identical as the subsidiary had no transactions during the period.
The underlying core business showed a significant profit decline of 25%, which may concern investors. However, the one-time Robotics sale windfall of ~₹1,441 Cr (post-tax) dramatically boosted the bottom line, making underlying performance look far stronger than it is.
