Abirami Financial Services India Ltd reported audited full-year results for FY25 with total income of Rs 1,144.62 lakhs versus Rs 183.13 lakhs in FY24, a very sharp year-on-year jump. However, profit before tax actually declined to Rs 80.42 lakhs from Rs 109.17 lakhs in FY24, a drop of about 26%. Profit after tax fell more steeply to Rs 57.69 lakhs from Rs 145.15 lakhs, a 60% decline, largely because FY24 had a tax credit/true-up of Rs 35.98 lakhs that boosted the prior year's bottom line. For the March quarter alone, total income at Rs 31.44 lakhs was lower than Rs 58.01 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Statutory auditor TSG & Associates issued an unmodified (clean) opinion, and no investor complaints were pending during the quarter.
Despite a large jump in full-year revenue, the sharp 60% drop in net profit and weak Q4 income are negative signals for shareholders, pointing to margin compression and reduced earnings per share. The clean audit opinion is a positive, but the weak profitability trend is likely to weigh on the stock.
