Accel Limited's board approved standalone and consolidated unaudited financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended 30 June 2025). Standalone revenue from operations dipped slightly to Rs. 3,865.69 lakhs from Rs. 3,929.25 lakhs a year ago, but net profit rose 17.3% to Rs. 121.32 lakhs (vs Rs. 103.40 lakhs), with EPS at Rs. 0.21. On a consolidated basis, net profit jumped nearly 30% to Rs. 120.13 lakhs (vs Rs. 92.62 lakhs). The statutory auditor (K.S. Aiyar & Co.) issued a qualified review report on the standalone results, flagging concerns over (a) recoverability of an overdue Rs. 666.50 lakh loan to subsidiary Accel Media Ventures Limited, and (b) carrying value of Rs. 487.79 lakh investment in associate Secureinteli Technologies, whose fair value is assessed at only Rs. 172.82 lakhs. The board also approved the appointment of J.M. Associates as Secretarial Auditor for five years (FY26–FY30), subject to shareholder approval.
Mixed picture for shareholders: profitability improved meaningfully, especially on a consolidated basis, but the auditor's qualified opinion on overdue loans to a subsidiary and an over-valued investment in an associate raises governance and asset-quality concerns. The pending NCLT merger of Accel Media Ventures with the company could materially impact future financials, while the qualified report may weigh on investor sentiment despite the higher PAT.
