Acknit Industries reported a slight decline in Q1 FY26 performance. Revenue from operations stood at ₹5,524.94 lakhs, down about 3.5% from ₹5,722.71 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Profit before tax fell to ₹229.52 lakhs from ₹272.29 lakhs (down ~15.7%), and net profit declined to ₹170.70 lakhs from ₹198.47 lakhs (down ~14%). EPS came in at ₹5.62 versus ₹6.53 a year ago. The hand gloves segment, the largest revenue contributor, saw sales drop to ₹2,807 lakhs from ₹3,306 lakhs. The company announced a new readymade garment facility at Gopalpur (West Bengal) set to go live this fiscal year and expansion of its hand gloves unit at Falta Industrial Park. Statutory auditors SRB & Associates issued an unmodified (clean) limited review opinion.
Marginal topline softness and modest bottomline dip for retail investors; the capacity expansion plans in garments and gloves could support future growth, but near-term profitability margin has compressed.
