Adani Green Energy has completed the conversion of all outstanding warrants held by Ardour Investment Holding Ltd, a promoter group company. Ardour converted the final batch of 1,15,76,193 convertible warrants into equity shares of Rs. 10 face value at a premium of Rs. 1,470.75 per share, paying the remaining 75% subscription amount of Rs. 1,110.56 per warrant. In total, the company received about Rs. 1,285.61 crore from this final tranche. With this, all 6,31,43,677 warrants originally allotted in January 2024 are now fully converted into equity shares. As a result, the total issued share count rose from about 163.56 crore to 164.72 crore shares, and promoter group shareholding increased slightly from 62.17% to 62.43%.
Existing minority shareholders face a small dilution of roughly 0.7% as new shares are issued, but the promoter group's stronger shareholding signals continued promoter confidence and commitment. The company also strengthens its balance sheet by collecting about Rs. 1,285 crore in fresh capital. Since this conversion was already pre-disclosed back in January 2024, it is largely a known event and is unlikely to cause any surprise reaction in the stock.
