On the reaction day the stock moved 0.7 pts more than Nifty 100 and 0.7 pts more than its Power peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Adani Power informs exchanges that the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL) has allowed its appeal and set aside the earlier order of the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC). APTEL has directed MERC to issue consequential orders in line with APTEL's prior judgment and compute Change in Law compensation based on the prescribed operational parameters. This is an update to a litigation disclosed earlier (August 19, 2023).
Positive for shareholders. The favourable APTEL ruling supports Adani Power's claim to Change in Law compensation, which could translate into higher future recoveries and earnings.
