ABFRL reported a standalone net loss of Rs 351.49 crore for FY26 compared to a loss of Rs 304.03 crore in FY25, continuing its loss-making streak. Standalone revenue from continuing operations grew 5.3% to Rs 5,906 crore from Rs 5,609 crore. On a consolidated basis, revenue grew 11.2% to Rs 8,177 crore from Rs 7,355 crore, though the company remains deeply loss-making with loss before tax from continuing operations at Rs 927 crore. The auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion. The company recognized an exceptional charge of Rs 29.89 crore due to implementation of the new labour codes. Cash and cash equivalents dropped significantly from Rs 734 crore to Rs 48 crore during the year.
The widening losses despite revenue growth indicate cost pressures and operational challenges. The substantial cash burn (Rs 686 crore reduction in cash) raises concerns about liquidity sustainability. Shareholders should monitor the company's path to profitability given continued losses.
