Aegis Logistics Limited has informed exchanges that its material subsidiary, Aegis Vopak Terminals Limited (AVTL), has filed its Prospectus dated May 28, 2025, with the Registrar of Companies in Gujarat, marking a key step toward AVTL's IPO. The IPO will be a fresh issue of equity shares with a face value of ₹10 each, aiming to raise up to ₹2,800 crore (₹28,000 million). Following the IPO, AVTL will cease to be a subsidiary of Aegis Logistics, as the parent company's shareholding will drop below 50%. This builds on prior disclosures from October 2024 onwards regarding AVTL's IPO plans and shareholder approvals obtained earlier in 2025.
Shareholders of Aegis Logistics stand to benefit from potential value unlocking, as the market discovery of AVTL's valuation through the IPO could highlight the underlying worth of its terminal business. However, loss of subsidiary status means Aegis will no longer fully consolidate AVTL's financials, which may change the earnings profile reported to investors.
