The Board of AI Champdany Industries approved the audited standalone financial results for FY ended 31 March 2025, with the auditor (G. Basu & Co) issuing an unmodified opinion. Revenue from operations more than doubled to Rs 9,021.84 lacs from Rs 4,427.25 lacs in FY24, a jump of around 104%. However, the company remained in the red, posting a net loss of Rs 2,075.39 lacs, though this is a sharp improvement from the Rs 3,999.78 lacs loss in FY24. The 107th AGM is scheduled for 25 August 2025. The Board also appointed Mr. Jayanta Jash as a new Non-Executive Independent Director, reappointed Mr. Mukul Banerjee as Independent Director for a second 5-year term, and reappointed K. Arun & Co as Secretarial Auditor for FY2025-26 to FY2029-30. A fire at the Wellington Jute Mill on 21 November 2024 damaged machinery, buildings and inventory, with the loss quantum still under assessment. Net cash used in operating activities stood at Rs 2,751.47 lacs, continuing the negative trend.
The strong revenue growth and narrowing losses are positives, but the company is still loss-making and burning cash from operations, while the Wellington mill fire and pending court proceedings on property disposal add near-term uncertainty. Shareholders should watch for clarity on fire-related losses and progress on the asset sale.
