AION-TECH Solutions reported its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) results. Standalone revenue from operations fell about 3.9% YoY to Rs 158.12 million from Rs 164.51 million. Standalone profit before exceptional items was a loss of around Rs 9 million, meaning core business was unprofitable. A one-time exceptional gain of Rs 136.94 million from the sale of land turned standalone profit before tax positive at Rs 127.30 million and profit after tax at Rs 105.75 million (vs Rs 4.87 million in Q1 FY25). On a consolidated basis, revenue rose about 8% to Rs 192.37 million, helped by the acquisition of ETO Motors, but pre-exceptional consolidated PBT was a loss of Rs 56 million, again propped up by the same land sale. The board also appointed Ms. P Mounika Reddy as an Additional Independent Woman Director and noted that the company's stake in ETO Motors rose from 4.17% to 58.51% in May 2025. The auditor (P. Murali & Co) issued an unqualified limited review report.
Headline PAT looks dramatically stronger, but the entire profit surge comes from a one-time land sale, not from operations. Both standalone and consolidated core businesses are loss-making this quarter, which is a red flag for sustainable earnings despite the impressive reported numbers.
