AksharChem India reported a net loss of Rs. 43.86 lakhs for FY2026 compared to a net profit of Rs. 477.04 lakhs in FY2025, a significant decline in profitability. However, Q4 FY2026 alone showed a profit of Rs. 483.50 lakhs. Revenue from operations grew 7.6% to Rs. 37,243 lakhs from Rs. 34,627 lakhs. The loss was partly due to a fire incident at the VS Plant in May 2024 causing a Rs. 402.18 lakh loss, partially offset by insurance claims totaling Rs. 571.79 lakh (including Rs. 169.61 lakh recognized as exceptional income in FY2026). The company commissioned a 5.19 MWp solar power plant in November 2025 for captive consumption. The Board recommended a dividend of Rs. 0.50 per share (5%) and appointed a new Whole-Time Director.
The FY2026 loss signals operational challenges despite revenue growth; shareholders may see the dividend as a positive signal, while the fire-related insurance recovery provides some financial relief. The appointment of a finance-experienced director may boost investor confidence.
