Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals reported its Q3 FY26 results on February 13, 2026. Standalone revenue from operations rose about 9% year-on-year to Rs 3,686 million, but standalone profit after tax fell sharply by roughly 32% to Rs 281 million versus Rs 412 million in Q3 FY25. For the nine months ended December 2025, standalone PAT dropped nearly 28% to Rs 964 million. The profit decline is largely explained by a one-time exceptional charge of Rs 38 million (standalone) and Rs 182 million (consolidated) booked for the impact of the new Labour Codes on gratuity and leave encashment. On a consolidated basis, revenue grew around 15% year-on-year in Q3 to Rs 11,596 million, with consolidated PAT of Rs 677 million, modestly higher than a year ago. The statutory auditor flagged the ongoing Income Tax search and seizure (January 2025) as an emphasis of matter, noting no undisclosed income has been declared but the final outcome remains uncertain. IPO proceeds remain fully deployed as originally planned, with no deviation reported.
Sharp standalone profit fall and the unresolved tax probe are negatives for short-term sentiment, but strong consolidated revenue growth and an uneventful IPO fund deployment provide some support. Watch for further updates from the Income Tax department.
