Alankit Limited reported FY2026 consolidated total income of Rs 37,344.23 lakhs, up 16.9% from Rs 31,940.95 lakhs in FY2025. However, net profit declined to Rs 2,087.02 lakhs from Rs 2,167.02 lakhs (down 3.7% YoY). The auditors issued an unmodified opinion but drew attention to three key matters: (1) Income tax demand notices totaling Rs 17,932.61 lakhs for assessment years 2011-12 to 2020-21, against which the company has filed appeals; (2) significant one-time items including write-back of trade payables Rs 1,084.17 lakhs and write-off of trade receivables Rs 1,312.65 lakhs impacting results; (3) purchase of immovable property worth Rs 5,393 lakhs from a related party where legal title has not yet been transferred to the company. Standalone net profit was Rs 1,228.23 lakhs (up 5.5% from Rs 1,163.76 lakhs). EPS for FY2026 stood at Rs 0.70 per share.
Despite revenue growth of 17%, profit declined due to higher expenses and one-time write-offs. The large tax demand and related party property transaction without title transfer are material concerns that shareholders should monitor closely as they could impact future financials if adverse rulings occur.
