Alankit Limited reported consolidated total income of ₹37,344.23 lakh for FY26, up 16.9% from ₹31,940.95 lakh in FY25. However, net profit declined 3.7% to ₹2,087.02 lakh from ₹2,167.02 lakh, while standalone PAT grew 5.5% to ₹1,228.24 lakh. Auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion, but drew attention to three matters: (1) income tax demand notices of ₹17,932.61 lakh (consolidated) spanning A.Y. 2011-12 to 2020-21, with the company filing appeals; (2) one-time write-back of trade payables ₹1,084.17 lakh and write-off of trade receivables ₹1,312.65 lakh significantly impacting results; and (3) ₹5,393 lakh paid to a related party for immovable property whose legal title is yet to be transferred to the company. EPS stood at ₹0.70 (consolidated) vs ₹0.73 in the prior year.
Revenue grew but profitability declined year-on-year, and the large tax demand, related-party property purchase, and one-time write-offs/ write-backs are red flags that could concern investors despite the clean audit opinion.
