Alfred Herbert India Ltd reported exceptional full-year results for FY2026. Standalone total income surged to Rs 4,477.42 lakhs from Rs 1,025.23 lakhs in FY2025. Profit after tax jumped to Rs 4,551.59 lakhs from Rs 623.04 lakhs in the prior year, with EPS at Rs 5,900.20. The massive jump was driven primarily by an exceptional item of Rs 4,804.72 lakhs (net) from sale of the company's Whitefield, Bengaluru property in Q1 FY2026. Additional gains came from net fair value changes (Rs 1,868.91 lakhs) and profit on investment property sales (Rs 1,906.38 lakhs). The company also earned Rs 607.37 lakhs in interest income and Rs 48.65 lakhs in rental income. The board recommended a dividend of Rs 20 per share (200%). The auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
The exceptional property sale at Whitefield has dramatically inflated FY2026 profits. Excluding the one-time gain, underlying operating performance is modest. Shareholders will benefit from the Rs 20 dividend, but the stock's valuation may be distorted by the exceptional item and should be analyzed on a normalized basis.
