Alkyl Amines Chemicals reported a decline in both revenue and profit for the quarter ended September 30, 2025. Revenue from operations fell to Rs 389.41 crore from Rs 414.89 crore in the same quarter last year, a drop of about 6.1%. Profit after tax for the quarter came in at Rs 42.94 crore versus Rs 47.46 crore in Q2 FY25, down roughly 9.5%. For the half year, revenue slipped to Rs 794.94 crore (from Rs 814.58 crore) while PAT stood at Rs 92.38 crore (from Rs 96.33 crore). EPS for the quarter was Rs 8.40 versus Rs 9.28 a year ago. The results carry an unmodified limited review report from statutory auditor N. M. Raiji & Co., and no exceptional items were recorded. The Board also approved a revision in remuneration for Whole-time Director (Operations) Mr. Rakesh S. Goyal, effective January 1, 2026, subject to shareholder approval via postal ballot.
Year-on-year decline in both top line and bottom line signals continued pressure on the specialty chemicals business, which may weigh on short-term investor sentiment. The unchanged audit opinion and zero exceptional items offer some reassurance on the quality of earnings.
