On the reaction day the stock moved 0.4 pts less than Nifty Smallcap 250 and in line with its Breweries & Distilleries peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Allied Blenders and Distillers promoter Bina Kishore Chhabria plans to sell up to 55 lakh equity shares, about 1.97% of paid-up capital, in the open market between September 23 and October 31, 2026 to help the company meet the minimum public shareholding requirement. The promoter group currently holds 80.91% of the company. The sale will happen in single or multiple tranches. Promoters have undertaken not to buy shares on the days of the sale.
Mild supply pressure possible; move helps meet public float norms and gradually broadens shareholder base.
