ABDL reported strong FY25 results with standalone revenue from operations at Rs. 8,072.96 crore (up ~5% YoY) and profit after tax surging to Rs. 200.13 crore from Rs. 6.72 crore in FY24. EPS for FY25 stood at Rs. 7.38 versus Rs. 0.28 last year. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 3.60 per share (face value Rs. 2), with record date June 27, 2025. The Board also approved a fund-raising plan of up to Rs. 1,000 crore (Rs. 10,000 million) through equity shares, convertible bonds, debentures, warrants, preference shares, or a QIP, subject to shareholder approval. Additionally, Rs. 29 crore capex was approved to triple bottling capacity at the Derabassi (Punjab) plant from 1 lakh to 3 lakh cases per month within 12 months. The 17th AGM is scheduled for July 8, 2025.
Strong earnings turnaround and dividend announcement are positive for shareholders. The proposed Rs. 1,000 crore fund raise could lead to equity dilution depending on the instrument and pricing chosen. The Derabassi capacity expansion supports future growth in bottling volumes, though near-term it may pressure margins. Investors should watch for the structure, pricing, and timing of the fund raise, as well as outcomes of the pending Income Tax demand (Rs. 352 crore) and CSD arbitration matter.
