On the reaction day the stock moved 0.7 pts less than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 0.9 pts less than its Auto Components & Equipments peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
For the September quarter, consolidated revenue rose 6.7% year on year to Rs 3,467.02 crore, while net profit rose 17.3% to Rs 276.49 crore. Standalone net profit rose 25.6% to Rs 302.40 crore. However, consolidated profit before the exceptional item and tax fell 23.4% to Rs 243.03 crore. A Rs 121.79 crore fire-related claim was booked as an exceptional gain. An interim dividend of Rs 5.40 per share was declared.
The dividend is positive, but the one-time claim masks weaker underlying profit and may weigh on near-term stock performance.
