The Board approved unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2025, with an unqualified auditor opinion from Sorab S. Engineer & Co. Consolidated revenue from operations was largely flat at Rs. 4,444.92 lakhs in Q2 (vs Rs. 4,470.41 lakhs YoY) and Rs. 8,478.80 lakhs for H1 (vs Rs. 8,540.07 lakhs). The company slipped into a consolidated net loss of Rs. 56.03 lakhs in Q2, compared to a profit of Rs. 261.99 lakhs in the same quarter last year. H1 consolidated net profit rose sharply to Rs. 766.32 lakhs (from Rs. 296.70 lakhs), but this was largely driven by a one-time Rs. 664.64 lakhs 'provision no longer required' booked as other income in Q1. Standalone results showed other equity turning sharply negative at Rs. (2,813.88) lakhs, and Q2 standalone posted a loss of Rs. 38.24 lakhs. The Pharmaceuticals segment reported a segment-level loss of Rs. 121.14 lakhs in Q2, while the Electronics segment remained profitable.
Weak underlying performance in Q2 with a swing to loss may concern shareholders; the headline H1 profit growth is largely optical due to a one-time provision reversal. Negative standalone net worth and a loss-making Pharma segment are key risks to monitor. Stock reaction may be negative given the Q2 reversal despite the seemingly strong H1 numbers.
