Ambo Agritec Ltd submitted its 31st annual report for the financial year ended March 31, 2025. Standalone revenue from operations rose to ₹12,001.99 lakhs from ₹10,111.21 lakhs in the previous year, a growth of about 18.7%. Profit after tax on a standalone basis grew sharply from ₹140.40 lakhs to ₹190.74 lakhs, up roughly 36%. On a consolidated basis, however, PAT declined to ₹121.51 lakhs from ₹136.56 lakhs, pulled down by losses at its wholly-owned subsidiary Ambo Retail India Limited. The company did not recommend any dividend, citing the need to conserve resources. It raised funds through a preferential issue of 1.43 crore convertible warrants at ₹30 each, and increased its authorised share capital from ₹10 crore to ₹25 crore.
Strong standalone profit growth and revenue expansion are positives, but the dip in consolidated profit due to subsidiary losses and the absence of a dividend may temper shareholder excitement. The preferential warrant issue could lead to share dilution once converted, which existing investors should keep in mind.
