The promoter, Anand Rathi Financial Services Ltd, has created a fresh pledge on 4,85,000 shares (0.58% of total share capital) in favour of Yes Bank, dated 29 May 2026. The pledged shares are valued at approximately Rs. 172.91 crore against a borrowing of Rs. 154.25 crore, giving a security cover ratio of 1.12x. The promoter has stated the encumbrance is being done to shift collateral from one broker to another for availing margin limits. Overall, encumbered shares stand at 25.60% of promoter holding, which is well below the 50% threshold and only 0.58% of total share capital.
This is a routine reshuffling of collateral between brokers rather than a new borrowing against shares, so it is unlikely to materially affect shareholder confidence. With encumbrance at just 0.58% of total share capital and well below the 50% promoter-pledge threshold, there is no immediate red flag for the stock.
