Andhra Paper's board has approved audited FY25 results and recommended a final dividend of Rs. 1 per share (50% on Rs. 2 face value), subject to shareholder approval. Revenue from operations fell to Rs. 1,541 crore from Rs. 1,801 crore in FY24, a decline of about 14%. Net profit dropped sharply to Rs. 89 crore from Rs. 340 crore, down nearly 74%, with Q4 FY25 net profit at just Rs. 7.8 crore. This is a significant cut from the previous year's dividend, which was Rs. 5 per share on a post-split basis (125% on face value of Rs. 10). The company also noted a show-cause notice from NSE and BSE for non-compliance with Regulation 17(1A) of SEBI LODR rules. The board re-appointed an independent director and appointed new secretarial auditors for five years.
The sharp drop in profits has forced a major dividend cut, which is negative for income-focused shareholders and may weigh on the stock's dividend appeal. The 74% earnings decline signals serious operational stress, while the regulatory notice from exchanges adds a minor governance concern, though not immediately material.
