Andhra Paper reported full-year revenue from operations of Rs 1,70,123 lakh, up about 10.4% from Rs 1,54,124 lakh in the prior year. Net profit after tax surged to Rs 8,891 lakh, a dramatic jump from Rs 1,840 lakh in FY2025 — primarily driven by higher other income (including Rs 4,392 lakh profit on sale of current investments) and lower finance costs. Profit before tax stood at Rs 2,536 lakh. The statutory auditor, MSKA & Associates LLP, issued an unmodified (clean) opinion. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.50 per share (25% on face value of Rs 2). Subsequent to year-end, the manufacturing plant at Kadiayam was placed under a lockout from May 1, 2026, due to an illegal strike by contract workmen, which remains ongoing as of the board meeting date.
The massive jump in net profit is partly driven by one-time investment gains and tax timing benefits rather than operational improvement. The ongoing lockout at the Kadiyam plant is a significant operational risk that could affect near-term production and revenue, which investors should monitor closely.
