Angel Fibers Limited submitted its 12th Annual Report for FY 2024-25 to BSE. The company is in the textile/yarn business and faced a challenging year due to geopolitical tensions, reduced export demand, lower yarn prices, and higher raw material costs. In the first half, it recovered prior year losses and posted a profit of about Rs. 50 lakhs, but about 90% of that profit was eroded in the second half. A fire damaged raw material stock in one godown, but the company says it is fully insured and suffered no financial loss. The company reduced its outstanding debt by around 32% during the year and reported positive results in its profit and loss account. India textile exports declined roughly 3% YoY to USD 34.4 billion. The AGM is set for September 20, 2025, and shareholders will vote on approving material related party transactions worth up to Rs. 100 crore each with Redeco Fibers Private Limited and Murlidhar Worldtrade Private Limited for FY 2025-26.
Mixed signals for shareholders: revenue and profitability were under pressure, but debt reduction of 32% and a small overall profit suggest the company is managing through a tough cycle. The large related party transaction limits with related entities warrant shareholder attention for governance reasons.
