State Bank of India has submitted its Annual Report along with the BRSR for FY 2024-25 to the exchanges. The 70th Annual General Meeting is scheduled for June 13, 2025, via video conferencing. Key highlights: standalone net profit rose 16.08% to ₹70,901 Crore from ₹61,077 Crore in FY24; operating profit crossed ₹1 Lakh Crore for the first time with 17.89% YoY growth. Deposits grew 9.48% to ₹53.82 Lakh Crore and advances grew 12.03% to ₹42.21 Lakh Crore. Asset quality improved with Gross NPA falling to 1.82% (down 42 bps) and Net NPA at 0.47% (down 10 bps). Cost-to-income ratio improved sharply from 55.66% to 51.64%. The Board has declared a dividend of ₹15.90 per share.
Positive for shareholders — record profits, improved asset quality, and higher dividend reflect strong financial health. The significant improvement in cost-to-income signals better operational efficiency, though slightly lower RoE (19.87% vs 20.32%) is a minor watch point.
