Anzen India Energy Yield Plus Trust, managed by EAAA Real Assets Managers Limited, has received approval from its Investment Committee to raise up to Rs. 775 crore through Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs). The debt will be raised on a private placement basis, as approved on November 4, 2025. The NCDs are non-convertible debt instruments, meaning they cannot be converted into equity units. Since this is a private placement, the debentures will be offered to selected institutional investors rather than the general public. The trust has also informed Axis Trustee Services Limited and Catalyst Trusteeship Limited about the issuance.
For unitholders, this raises the trust's overall debt level, which could increase interest expenses but also provides fresh capital for new infrastructure/energy yield assets or refinancing. Private placement typically avoids dilution and broad market timing pressure, though it adds to leverage.
