Apcotex Industries reported FY2026 revenue of Rs 14,415 lakhs, up ~3.5% YoY (FY2025: Rs 13,924 lakhs), with profit before tax of Rs 1,348 lakhs (up 77% YoY). However, profit after tax declined sharply to Rs 347 lakhs from Rs 541 lakhs in FY2025, a ~36% drop, due to higher tax outgo and deferred tax reversals in the prior year. EBITDA margin compressed to ~13.6% from ~17.5% YoY, driven by higher raw material costs (Rs 9,890 lakhs, up 8% on lower volumes) and increased finance costs. Key one-time items include a Rs 373 lakh impairment on turbines at Valia and Rs 97 lakh additional depreciation from revised useful life estimates for plant & machinery effective January 2026. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs 5.50 per share (face value Rs 2) and approved acquiring a 1.275% stake in Amplus Ampere Private Limited (solar power SPV) for Rs 72 lakhs for captive solar power consumption, switching the project entity from Amplus Ceres Solar to Amplus Ampere. Auditors M/s Manubhai & Shah LLP issued an unmodified opinion.
The stock faces pressure from a sharp PAT decline of ~36% despite higher PBT, margin compression, and rising raw material costs. The EBITDA margin drop to ~13.6% signals cost challenges. The solar acquisition is small and non-dilutive. Dividend of Rs 5.50 per share provides some support to investor returns.
