Apcotex Industries reported FY2026 results with revenue from operations at Rs. 14,415 lakh (up 3.5% from Rs. 13,924 lakh in FY2025). However, net profit after tax declined significantly to Rs. 3,474 lakh from Rs. 5,406 lakh in the prior year - a fall of about 36%. EPS for the year stood at Rs. 6.70 versus Rs. 10.43 in FY2025. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 5.50 per share. Notable items include an impairment loss of Rs. 373 lakh on turbine assets at Valia, additional depreciation of Rs. 97 lakh due to revised useful life of plant and machinery, and provisions of Rs. 800 lakh for pending litigations and Rs. 260.93 lakh for long-term incentive plan. The Board also approved acquiring 1.275% stake in Amplus Ampere Private Limited for Rs. 72 lakh for captive solar power consumption, switching from the originally planned Amplus Ceres Solar Private Limited. The statutory auditor issued a clean (unmodified) opinion on the financial results.
Sharp PAT decline of 36% despite modest revenue growth signals margin compression and higher provisions/impairment charges weighing on profitability. However, the clean audit opinion and strategic solar power acquisition for captive use are positive. Dividend declaration provides some investor comfort.
