Apex Frozen Foods reported Q4 FY25 revenue of INR197 crore, up ~22% year-on-year, driven by a 20% rise in average realization to INR794/kg and a marginal 2% volume growth. EBITDA jumped 174% YoY to INR78 million, while the company swung back to a INR20 million profit from a loss a year ago. The EU market was a standout, with sales up 70% YoY in Q4 and EU share of the sales mix climbing to 36% from 22% a year ago. The company reaffirmed its FY26 volume guidance of 12,000 metric tons but declined to provide margin guidance, citing US tariff and trade deal uncertainty. EU facility approvals are awaited, which would unlock 25,000 metric tons of capacity including a 10,000 metric ton Ready-to-Eat line.
The strong Q4 print, EU diversification story, and pending EU approvals for the RTE facility are positives for medium-term growth, but near-term sentiment is capped by US tariff uncertainty and management's reluctance to give margin guidance, which may keep the stock volatile until trade clarity emerges.
